CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

New Members Foundation – Rev. Ferrell Freeman

This program is a four week, eight hour program for all new members of the church, designed to acquaint them with basic Christian Doctrine and to familiarize them with our Church. Some of the basic topics provided in this program are Introduction of the Pastor and Church, Church Covenant, Salvation, Bible Study, Lord’s Supper, Prayer, Tithing, Faith, Worship, Healing, Stewardship, Fellowship and several others. We believe that new member’s Christian faith should be built on a solid foundation, anchored to the Solid Rock, which is Jesus Christ (Luke 6:47-49).

Joshua Ministry – Deacon Rodney Wilkerson

This ministry is for the continued development of graduates of the New Members Foundation. During the next four weeks new Members are assigned to individual mentors to sit with during Worship and mid-week services to ensure they successfully make the transition from being a new member to becoming an active and participating member of the Jordan Temple Family. Concluding their four weeks with a mentor they are encouraged to join one of the ministries in the church, fulfilling their obligation of working in the vineyard of Christ, and positioning themselves for abundant blessings through sowing their time.

Discipleship Ministry – Deacon Maurice Roberts

The New Testament uses the word disciple 269 times, Christian only three times, and believers two times, which is an indication of then importance of disciples of Christ. The word disciple means “a learner”, a person who accepts the teaching of Christ in lifestyle, and not just belief. According to Matthew 28:19-20, has given us a call and privilege to go to the whole world giving them the good news of the gospel. The Discipleship program teaches strategic methods of discipleship to enhance the effectiveness of those persons that go beyond the walls of Jordan Temple to share the Word with the world.

Family & Finance Ministry – Sister Tajuana Patterson

Before Christ established the church, God created the family in Genesis and we place high regard to this order and importance. God does not want to see families split nor does he want them to live defeated lives filled with sorrow, depression and poverty. Jesus came to give the family an abundant life filled with peace and love, John 10:10. It is proven that satan uses the lack in our finances as a weapon to destroy families and distract us from our real call. The Family and Finance Ministry provide the tools and understanding to enlighten members and unlock doors of prosperity and joy. People suffer and perish because of the lack of knowledge, not the lack of money. So we teach them how to operate in both the natural and spiritual financial realm, how to be good stewards over what God places in their hand, and how to invest wisely to ensure that their children’s children have an inheritance according to the desires of the Lord.
